Meg Hogan Campbell was born Margaret Shelly Hogan in 1950. She grew up in Macon, Georgia with her mother, Jane; father, Wallace; sister, Kris; and brother, Cole.
Meg attended the University of Georgia, Wesleyan College, and Mercer University and attained bachelors’ degrees in both Art and English. She has been an educator and ceramicist in Georgia for nearly 40 years now, teaching English, Elementary Art and Ceramics in Macon.
Meg enjoys walking in the city and in the woods with the dog, Tippi, to find inspiration for her work, and discarded ephemera to incorporate into her assemblages and mobiles.
“Making functional pots has always been a good source of income, but my first love is sculpture. Somehow the two have entwined and my pots have quirky sculptural elements. I think this is called my style.”
